In 2024, Mukuni Secondary School in Southern Province faced a critical academic challenge: an alarming pupil-to-book ratio of 1:5 across key subjects. Teachers struggled to manage large classes with limited resources, while learners shared outdated or worn-out textbooks — making it difficult to prepare for internal and external examinations.
Determined to improve learning outcomes, the school partnered with Hachimata Computer Solutions for a large-scale textbook supply that would empower both learners and educators.
The Challenge
- Learners had limited access to core secondary school textbooks
- Most books were over 10 years old and no longer aligned to the revised Zambian curriculum
- Teachers had to photocopy chapters or dictate notes, wasting valuable teaching time

The Results
